While sailing in Turkey I was reminded of the joy that comes from hammocks.
Sure, they aren’t always that comfortable, and you often get out of them covered in weird marks, and generally getting into or out of them is a hassle. But if you look past all those downsides then they are basically the ultimate sitting/laying device.
But you know what they aren’t good for? Putting beers down.
See when you are in a hammock you either need a table near you to put a beer on, or, you have to reach down to the ground and put the beer there.
There has to be a better way, right?
Well, I give you the Hammock Beer Holder ™ © ® (name pending).
See, here is the current, chaotic version of the world:
But thanks to me the future is so much brighter:
Now, I know what the doubters will say “The cup holder is already a thing”, or “Isn’t that just putting a beer in the natural gaps in a hammock?”, or maybe even “But you can't have a hammock inside, the landlord won’t allow it”.
And sure, that last thing might be a real point, but you can still have a hammock outside in the sun!
Actually, why isn’t there a bar where you sit in hammocks? Surely that should be invented too?
If you don’t like the idea of a hammock beer holder ™ © ®, then I also think someone (me) needs to invent hammock stabilisers ™ © ®. That way you can get in and out of a hammock without falling over.
